And because it's really April. Rainy, chilly, and hopeful April.
We're almost in the middle of it already. I know this because it's still all wet outside, the daffodils are beginning to subside, and the seeds I planted weeks ago are finally starting to show themselves.
It's a beautiful thing.
Oh!
And the chicks are here too. I can't wait to show you.
They're ah-DOR-able! (But they still need names).
So in celebration of all things fresh and new, I think you should make yourself some cookies. And not just any ol' cookies, try some you have never made before, like cowgirl cookies or good old fashioned peanut butter. You can eat 'em up with a glass of almond milk or give them away to people you love.
Whateves. You can do whatever you want- it's springtime after all.
But I'm a busy girl. There are little baby chicks that need some love and attention, soil that needs planting, and problems to solve. Without a doubt- this is go time.
A happy, too busy for words, the train is leaving the station- go time.
Made better with 350° of heat, and a cup full of sugar.
April, I'm ready for ya'.
A lovely photo, with yummy cookies. I never heard about Cowgirl cookies, I will soon bake them for my daughter, thank you!
ReplyDeleteBaby chicks and cowgirl cookies! What fun.
ReplyDeleteApril is such a great month but I agree that milk and cowgirl cookies make it even better. I've never tried almond milk either but it sound delish and wow, baby chicks, how cute. Have a lovely Easter dear little Sasquatch.
ReplyDeleteI cannot think of anything better to balance out the sweetness of a crunchy cookie than a glass of cold nut milk!
ReplyDelete@Aracne- I hope your daughter likes them, let me know how they turn out! They are one of my favorites, especially when I up the temp. and make them a bit softer. Delish.
ReplyDelete@Densie- The chicks are amazing. They are five days old now, peeping away. It's so special to see.
@Emily Vanessa- Happy Easter to you too. Is Berlin getting spots of sunshine? I can't wait to show you the chicks, but I'm having a hard time getting a good shot- they are quick little things :)
