Hello, Ladies...

I know people don't like to be forced to look at pictures of other people's: kids, cats, dogs, babies...
So I apologize.
But, really...
Aren't they just amazing?
Here, each of the girls is about two days old. We have five chicks total, all with sweet, little, fluffy feathers.

They finally have names too. The one that's looking at the camera right up there, that's Eclair, she looks like a little cream puff.

The rest of the ladies have been camera shy, but trust me, they're equally adorable.

You'll see.

And they'll be big before you know it. Soon I'll be saying, "They're Huge!"

But for now, they're just focused on getting their tail feathers.

And I'm focused the spring. Rhubarb jam, here I come.

  2. My grandfather used to raise chickens from eggs, he had a real passion for chickens and I have sweet memories of little chicks, soft and clumsy.

  4. @Fred- Oh, May, how I've been waiting for you!

@Aracne- I love the way you describe them as soft and clumsy, I couldn't have put it better. They are beginning to look like little dinosaurs. Adorable.

@Marm- Happy spring to you too. These little chicks are sweet as pie.

@Juanita- Thanks, they certainly are getting more and more adorable and awkward. We all have a goofy stage though, don't we?

@Denise- They can guarantee a smile at just about any time. They are such sweet little creatures.
