Postcards from Port Townsend, WA

Sometimes it's nice just to get away for a while.

Even if there's nothing really that big to get away from.

Know what I mean?

This year, we went to Port Townsend, Washington for vacation with the family. It was gorgeous, with sunny skies and cool, sea air.

We even saw seals.

This, of course, is not a seal. This is my beautiful niece who's thinking something quite important I'm sure.
Here is T. eating fresh loganberry pie from a sweet shop on Whidbey Island. The big red barn he's standing in front of was huge, with vintage wine barrels in front filled with fragrant summer flowers.
See this lazy dog? This is Timber, he's exhausted from running into the ocean. He would jump into the water like a freight train and splash around like a puppy. The whole scene caused instant smiles.

Now we're back in Portland, happy as ever and busy with all life has to give.

  5. @Anna- I hope so too! It was delicious :)

@Shahms- He's okay. He has a duclaw that gets easily injured. The tape is more of a preventative measure, he's a tough cookie!

@Nicole- It was nice and relaxing. As for my niece, she's fantastic. I love the light in the picture above, she looks so pretty.
